Souhegan looking for return trip to state title game
AMHERST – Simply put, Bill Dod expects his 50th season as a high school baseball coach to be just as rewarding as the previous 49.
But can this group of Souhegan Sabers make it special?
“This team is excited for the challenges to compete in Division II,” said the veteran coach, who is now 280-189 at Souhegan and 542-410 overall in his career.
“With an excellent work ethic and team chemistry, we will need to focus on every play to achieve both individual and team goals.”
Only three starters, catcher Caelan Behn, infielder/pitcher Jacob Grassett and first baseman Dan Trzepacz return from a 15-4 team that reached the state finals.
Five sophomores and freshman Nick Wilson are set to make their mark this spring.
