On September 9, 2024, Vito G. Comparato passed away quietly from a terminal illness.

He was born to Frank and Thalia Comparato in Brooklyn, N.Y. on October 21, 1947.

He is survived by his son Carmine Comparato and his sister Dorothy Francis and his nephew Peter Francis.

He graduated from Xaverian High School in Brooklyn in 1963 and went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. Subsequently, he went to St. Peter’s Institute in New Jersey where he received a Master of Science degree.

Some of his career highlights include working as a department head at Grumman Aerospace in Long Island in New York.

He was very religious. His faith was strong which began at St. Athanasius in Brooklyn where he became an alter boy. His faith was further enriched by reading about the lives of the saints.

Some of his hobbies included watching sports on television. He was an avid gun collector and liked target shooting.

His presence on this earth will be greatly missed by those who love him.
