Jeanne M. Jacques, 94, resident of Milford, NH, died at the Mt. Carmel Nursing Home, Manchester, NH, after a period of declining health.

She was born on July 23, 1930, in Milford, NH, a daughter of the late Leon and Vera (Stoddard) Jacques.

A lifelong resident of Milford, NH, Jeanne attended Milford schools, graduating from Milford High School, Class of 1948. She worked for more than 30 years at New England Telephone Company/Verizon.

She was a faithful communicant of St. Patrick Church, Milford, NH. Jeanne enjoyed volunteering in the community, especially with the Share Program. In addition, she was an avid golfer and a member of the Telephone Pioneers.

Jeanne was predeceased by her brothers, Lt. Leon Jacques, Jr. and Rev. Donald W. Jacques; her sister-in-law, Marion Jacques Dube; and brother-in-law, Raymond Dube.

Survivors include her nephew, Stephen and (Valerie) Jacques, of Newington, NH; her great nieces, Amy and (Rob) Altman and Bethany (Keith) Lahey; her great nephews, Stephen and (Jocelyn) Jacques, Jr., Daniel and (Paula) Jacques; 11 great nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.

SERVICES: Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 10:00 AM in St. Patrick Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford, followed by burial in St. Patrick Cemetery, Amherst, NH. All are invited to meet at church the morning of mass. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Share Program, 1 Columbus Avenue, Milford, NH 03055.
