Carole Gail (Marden) Budrick
Carole Gail (Marden) Budrick, 74, of Hudson, NH, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024, after a long, hard-fought battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family. Carole was born on August 9, 1949, in Quincy, MA, the daughter of the late Edward and June (Tite) Marden. She was the wife of nearly 44 years to the late Robert (Bob) A. Budrick Sr. of Milford, NH.
Carole grew up in Quincy, MA, and then later moved to Milford, NH, where she raised her family and was a resident for 44 years. She enjoyed caring for others and made a career of it working as an “angel on earth” – a licensed practical nurse (LPN) for thirty years. For fifteen of those years, she worked the night shift in oncology at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, NH. She also worked in family practices for many years, including at Dartmouth Hitchcock in Milford, NH, and later worked as an instructor at the Red Cross teaching and certifying LNAs. She retired in 2014.
In her spare time, Carole enjoyed crafting (including knitting, crocheting, and cross-stitching) and attending craft fairs, watching movies, and spending time with family, especially her four grandchildren whom she absolutely loved and adored. She also loved to laugh, sing and eat out at restaurants, was a voracious reader, and loved animals – especially her pets and “grandpets”. She enjoyed playing the organ for family and was famous among family and friends for her delicious holiday pies.
Carole is survived by her four children, daughter Melissa Kolodziej and her husband, Tony Kolodziej of Hudson, NH; daughter Cherilee Budrick, of Auburn, ME; son Robert Budrick Jr. and his wife Jennifer Budrick of Milford, NH; son Andrew Budrick, of Manchester, NH; grandchildren Alex and Jackson Kolodziej, Lilliana Budrick, and Eashan Budrick; her sister, Merri McNeil and her husband Jerry of Quincy, MA; brother, Edward Marden Jr. and his wife Gayle of Townsend, MA; and several cousins, nieces and nephews in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania. She was pre-deceased by her sister, Wendy (Marden) Hoffman.
Carole was a beloved mother, wife, sister, grandmother, and friend who will be forever loved and missed. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
To honor her memory, following cremation, there will be a celebration of life hosted by the family on Sunday, August 11, from 12pm to 3pm at The Establishment in Chelmsford, MA. Friends and family are invited to attend.
