Amanda J. Quinlan

Amanda J. Quinlan, 47, resident of Amherst, NH, died at her home on June 7, 2024, after a hard-fought battle with cancer, she was surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on June 21, 1976, in Norwalk, OH, a daughter of John R. and Susan E. (Eggleston) Tyler.

Amanda was raised and educated in Ohio and graduated from St. Paul High School in 1994. Following high school, Amanda attended English Nanny School. As a professional nanny Amanda loved and devoted her time in caring for ‘her’ children. She remained friends with many of these children as they became adults. She made her way east and landed in Watertown, MA, where she met Robert Quinlan. The two would marry and later move to Amherst where they have been for eleven years.

Amanda was an avid traveler who has taken trip to Paris, Rome, Monaco, and Greece. She also enjoyed going to Broadway show like Miss Saigon, Little Shop of Horrors, and Les Misérables in New York. She was also a big fan of the Boston Red Sox and Cleveland Browns.

Survivors include her loving husband, Robert Quinlan of Amherst, NH, their two children, Elsie and George Quinlan also of Amherst, NH, her parents, John and Susan of Norwalk, Ohio, two sisters, Brooke (James) Gfell also of Norwalk, Ohio and Erin Tyler (Hoyt Cruse) of Alexandria, Virginia.

Amanda was predeceased by her brother, Sean Tyler, Grandparents Robert & Margaret (Heitz) Tyler as well as Robert & Mary Ellen (Quilter) Eggleston.

SERVICES: In accordance with her wishes there will be no calling hours. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at 10:00 AM in the St. Christopher Catholic Church, 62 Manchester Street, Nashua, NH. Burial will follow in the Edgewood Cemetery, Nashua, NH. All are invited to meet directly at church the morning of mass.
