John Simo, 86, longtime resident of Milford, NH died January 22, 2019 at Pheasant Wood Center, Peterborough, NH.

He was born in Nashua, NH on September 4, 1932, the son of Nicolae and Cornelia (Cazana) Simo. He was raised in Hudson, NH and graduated from Alvirne High School, Class of 1951 and Nashua Business College. He also attended the UCLA Fine Arts Program.

Mr. Simo had been employed by Benson’s Animal Farm and Douglas Aircraft Company. He later retired from Hitchiner Manufacturing Company in Milford as a quality inspector where he had worked for more than 35 years.

He was a member of the Hitchiner Golf Team, Leda Lane Bowling League and the Nashua Senior Center. Mr. Simo was an excellent artist in all types of art medium as well as an avid ballroom dancer.

He was predeceased by his wife of 43 years, Glenda (Pratt) Simo who died in 2003; and his sister, Victoria Wiggin.

Family members include three children, Kathleen Lepine, Peter Simo and Steven Simo, all of Milford, NH; and six grandchildren.

A visiting hour will be held on Monday, January 28th from 10:00-11:00am in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am in the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Milford.
