Elizabeth Dorette Stabler
1981-2014
Elizabeth Dorette Stabler, 32, of Hollis, NH and Tucson, AZ passed away during the week of November 13, 2014 in Tucson, AZ. The cause was an apparent heroin overdose.
She was born on December 1, 1981 in Nashua, NH, the daughter of Sarah Chandler Stabler and George Merritt Stabler, both now deceased. She grew up in Hollis, NH, where she attended public schools. She spent a year and one-half at Bennington College in VT and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC in 2009.
She was a young woman of many gifts and boundless promise: an accomplished artist, baker, musician, horticulturist and a friend to, and caretaker of animals.
She leaves a loving family – her brother Benjamin Stabler; an aunt and uncle, Janet Brown and Atty. Kenneth M. Brown of Hollis; aunt and uncle Elizabeth Stabler and Robert Ruggiero of Middlebury, VT; aunt Mary Stabler; and several cousins, including Matthew Brown and his wife Natasha of Milford, and Jennifer Brown of Hollis. Elizabeth also left many friends around the country.
