Florida ‘Flo’ Bautista Crowell

Florida "Flo" Bautista Crowell, 94 years old, died on Tuesday, 16 August, at her home in Bedford, NH.

Flo was born on 15 May, 1922, in Cuyapo, Philippines, to Juan and Magdalena Bautista. She was the oldest of 5 children. She is predeceased by her brother, Angel; her sisters, Ester and Ella and her brother Ernesto, live in California.

After graduating from National Teachers College and working as a teacher, she met her sweetheart, Raymond Crowell, Jr., during WWII, in the Philippines. The couple married the following year on 13 August, 1946.

Married for 70 years, Flo and Ray raised their 3 children, Dan, Sue and Ken while traveling the globe during Ray’s 21-year service, as a MSGT with the United States Air Force.

After the couple’s retirement, they settled down in Bedford, NH.

Her surviving family members are numerous, but mainly include:

Husband of 70 years: Raymond E. Crowell, Jr.

Mother of 4 children: Thelma Diadula, Dan Crowell, Sue Yarger, Ken Crowell.

Grandmother to 5: Rolan Bautista, Jon Crowell, Sean Crowell, Angela Zonfrello, Shannon Quinn.

Immediate family: Ella Dalagan, Ester Bautista, Ernesto Bautista.

Other family members: Unfortunately too many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren to list or even count.

The funeral was private and held on 23 August, 2016.
