Citizens’ fiesta a meet and greet

Merrimack’s Los Primos Mexican Restaurant Proprietor Edith Figueroa, who invites sampling of “the finest Mexican food in New Hampshire” from a traditional menu at 3 Amherst Road where “eveything is made with love,” welcomed patrons and friends to an “Uno De Mayo” fiesta on May 1. The fiesta and subsequent Cinco De Mayo celebrations commemorate the anniversary of a Mexican Army victory on May 5, 1862, over French invaders during the Franco-Mexican War. The fiesta was organized by Merrimack Republican Town Committee (MRTC) Chair Ginger Heald as a way to combine fun, food and raffle prizes with opportunities for the public to meet and greet candidates and incumbents gearing up to rally party support for the upcoming 2022 election. Here gather local dignitaries, seated from left, Ginger Heald, MRTC chair; Wolf Von Schoen, MRTC vice chair; Jeanine Notter, Merrimack state representative and Gary Daniels, state senator, joining a quartet of state representative associates, standing from left, Mary Mayville, Bob Healey, Melissa Blasek and Bill Boyd. The MRTC encourages community participation in local, state and federal government activities and nurtures Republican Party values. General meetings take place on the fourth Monday of the month at Merrimack Town Hall. Newcomers are welcome. Information is available by email: info@merrimackgop.org. Visit online: merrimackgop.org.
