Wild Plant Study & Forest Immersion

This three class course will teach you how to immerse yourself in the beauty and calm of nature. We’ll explore the abundance we find as we walk the Beaver Brook trails and take time to stop, relax and enjoy. Learn not only information about flowers and plants but also develop a toolkit to be able to more deeply observe what is around you. We’ll end with a cup of tea we’ve foraged from plants. Make Aromatherapy Herb Wreaths
Thursday Aug 12 from 3-5 pm or 6-8 pm

The Fresh Herb Wreath class at Beaver Brook is one of the most popular classes every year.
This class will be conducted outside at tables in the shade. There is a roofed option in case of inclement weather.
1) You are permitted to harvest fresh herbs during the class from the Maple HIll Gardens. We will provide you with wreath ring and floral wire.
2) You will create a long-lasting wreath using herbs and flowers that will last for more than a year
3) You will benefit from the essential oils of these herbs and likely experience elevated mood, relaxation and stress reduction.
Typical herbs include lavender, thyme, marjoram, lemon balm, Russian sage, mint, joe pyeweed, queen anne’s lace, sage and more. Feel free to bring other things from your garden if you wish to mix them in or share. BYO beverages if you like and your own clippers if you have them.

Music in the Gardens – Symphony NH Brass
