Firefighter Curt Jensen memorial sign to be dedicated May 10 in Brookline
BROOKLINE – At 10 a.m. Saturday, May 10, a baseball field at the Brookline Ball Park will be dedicated to the memory of Firefighter Curt Jensen, who died in November.
“Curt Jensen and his wife, Jody, helped coach and donated the dugouts, and I wanted to make this happen no matter what,” said Jo Ann Skey, who spearheaded the effort to pay tribute to her friend. Skey served as coordinator for eight years when Brookline had its own girls softball league and is currently the head softball coach at Hollis Brookline Middle School.
A permanent sign declaring “Curt Jensen Memorial Field, Dedicated May 10, 2014” will be attached to one of the dugouts. Skey has fronted the $715 cost of the sign and is seeking donations to defray the cost.
Checks, payable to Jo Ann Skey, can be mailed to her at 54 Averill Road, Brookline, NH 03033. Call her at 396-7795 for additional information.
