StageCoach to perform ‘Oregon Country’

StageCoach Productions will present “Oregon Country – A Melodrama,” the story of Widow White and her daughter, Nell, who come to Oregon Country to invest their savings, but nothing is what it seems.

Widow White and Nell fall victim to Nathaniel Blackside and his sidekick, Stalder Slough, a shady character. Blackside sells them a gold mine, which is somewhat short on gold. Other town characters include Capt. Jack, a steamboat operator; Mrs. Norman Van Wealth, an affluent matron; Rock Creke, the sheriff; Minnie Moore, a fallen lady; and Clara Clene, president of the Anti-litter Ladies League.

Come see this cast of characters at the Lawrence Barn in Hollis at 8 p.m., Friday, Aug. 17, and Saturday Aug. 18. Dress for warm weather.

The cast includes Don Smith-Weiss, Cheri Birch, Anne Orio, Caitlin Donohue, Danny Crawford, Adam Harding, Amy Winkle Agostino, Erik Duchesne, Ashley Smith, Jenn Stanley, Mollie Hayward.
