A river runs through it
WILTON – The Souhegan Watershed Association was founded in 1995 to speak for the river without regard for boundaries and to safe guard it. Over the years they have provided water quality testing, encouraged canoeing and other recreation, and brought the many endangered species along it to public attention.
On Thursday, April 28, 7 p.m., at the Collaborative Center, George May of Merrimack, one of the founders, will present a history of the river and the ongoing work of SWA. Join him for a lively discussion about the many ways to enjoy the river and how you can help keep it healthy.
The program is free and open to the public, but reservations are required. For information and to register, email dandn4evah@tds.nt.
The Collaborative Center is located at the Second Congregational Church parish hall, 25 Gregg Street.
This is a project of the Wilton Public/Gregg Free Library and is made possible in part by the New Hampshire State Library and the Institute of Museum and Library Sciences.
