DIVISON II QUARTERFINALS

NO. 10 KINGSWOOD 1,

NO. 2 MILFORD 0 (PK’s)

The Spartans suffered their only loss of the season (15-1-1) in the toughest of ways, as their game came down to penalty kicks.

“It was a hard-fought game, with all 15 of my seniors giving their hearts out on the field,” Milford coach Anson Thibault said. “Tough way to go out.”

Kingswood earmed the opportunity to take on No. 3 Lebanon in the semis Tuesday night at Stellos Stadium.

DIVISION IV PRELIMS

NO. 12 PITTSFIELD 3,

NO. 5 WILTON-LYNDEBOROUGH 2 (PK’s)

It was a bitter ending under the lights at Franklin Pierce University for the Warriors, who fell in penalty kicks to end their season.

WLC got goals in regulation from Sean Brennan and Kenny Bagley, but the game ended tied 2-2 in regulation and neither team scored in OT. It was a tough blow for the Warriors to end their season at 10-4-1 after beating one of the top teams in Division IV, Sunapee, at the end of the regular season.

“It’s unfortunate, we were making a good run at it,” Warriors coach Dan Nelson, who had to miss the game due to COVID protocols.

“When you know you can beat the No. 1 team and then that. That was a big hit.”
