Christmas Store to open
WILTON – The annual Christmas Store will open for Wilton and Lyndeborough residents Friday, Dec. 9, from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 10, from 9-11 a.m. at the Second Congregational Church parish house on Gregg Street.
The store will be open Thursday, Dec. 8, from 1-3 p.m. for senior citizens only.
The goal is to assist the elderly and families in need in the Wilton and Lyndeborough communities in having a happier, healthier Christmas season. The store will have food, toys and gift items available. Bring your own boxes and containers.
Previously letters were sent to people who have needed our help in the past, however, there will be no letters sent this year due to the economy. Anyone needing help can just show up at the store.
Anyone wishing to contribute a cash donation for the program can mail it to P.O. Box 312 Wilton, NH 03086. Make checks payable to “Wilton Community Christmas Store”.
Those wishing to donate toys can leave them at Putnam’s Clothing Store on Main Street, Wilton and the Nelson-Michaud Funeral Home at 32 Maple St., before Dec. 8.
